Aim of AWP

Our aim in AWP is to coordinate world class events of extreme whitewater kayaking to increase media visibility of our sport on a global scale and provide our athletes the opportunity to progress on personal and international levels.
This goal can be achieved if the paddling community support our intent!

How the races are going to be selected?

The event organizers can submit an application with their events.

The directors of the AWP are going to vote for the events that deserve the championship title on the base of:

  • Race Guidelines
  • Location of the event (to assure a rotation over the years)

Kayak standard

The kayak used for racing must fulfill set rules and standards. These standard have been used for the ‘Sickline’ events for many years and have been approved by the majority of the athletes that competed.
